The Vizio files in the file section do not work for this TV (at all). The original remote has a pinless JP1.2 socket.

That sure makes it sound like the OEM remote is a UEI model, does it respond to any of the usual 9xx type commands? If so, see if you can use 990 to blink back the TV's setup code.

I have a Vizio L32HD and the 990 command on the supplied remote returns code 0178 for the TV. If that post means you would like more functions. Look at the advanced codes for 0178.
