On an old model of OAF, I was used to the possibility to send a TV code XXX when in another mode (VCR for example) thanks to the old style : VCR M*994 TV M XXX M key

The new Kameleon offers a KeyMagic mode which seems to reject this type of things. At the same time the code expected is now 5 digits long. It looks like it is enough digits to encode the device AND the code. But I didn't succeed in finding how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

In most cases the 5 digit EFC number is just 00 followed by the 3 digit EFC number.

I don't know/recall much about the Kameleon (how KeyMagic works, which Kameleon models use 5 digit EFC number, etc.) so even if you told me exactly which model Kameleon you mean, I couldn't give a better answer. But other people might give a better answer if you specify the model of Kameleon.

For some setup codes the 5 digit EFC number is not just 00 followed by the 3 digit EFC number. If you tell us the model of TV and the setup code number assigned to your TV button, someone can determine whether you need a more complicated method to get the 5 digit EFC number.
