I bumped into something that might be a user error, not sure.
It appears that when a protocol which belongs to an extender is removed from the list, modified and added back, and IR file is saved, the notes don't follow. When the file is reopened, the protocol list is resequenced so that the protocols are grouped differenly than prior to save. Notes are not resequenced in the same way. Consequently you can end up with amusing results, such as (from Summary, screen tab identical, notes $4xxx the same):
UPGRADE PROTOCOLS:
Protocol Note
Protocol: $0180 Extender
Protocol: $0181 TT
Protocol: $01FC dsm
Protocol: $01FB pause -i don't see 1sec/$10
Protocol: $01F9 custom name
Protocol: $01F8 Panasonic Combo (KM v8.32)
Protocol: $00CD 8910ext1-LDKP2 (PB v3.12)
At one point I had 3 protocols on the screen all named LKP but I don't recall how I got there. Could have been 3 trials.
I wonder, but haven't tried, if it would have worked correctly had I removed L/DKP from the RDF Special protocols, not that I plan to do it. None of this is terribly important, just leads to momentary confusion |
