I have the 8910. I'm trying to make a device code for my Pansat 2300 DSS box.
i got the upgrade from OFA (device 1551) via phone.
i made one from a file i found here (Pansat 23-2500 KM-830 11-05-04.txt)
I load them into the remote via IR
the problem is out of the 2 files One will do stuff the other won't.
example:
the upgraded device from OFA doesn't have the Radio/TV button working or the Sat button.
or the one i made from the .txt file doesn't have the volume or menu buttons working.
my work around is to.
learn the buttoms i want onto my RS15-2117
then bounce them back to my 8910 in the device"1551" mode.

so is there a way to combine the 2 devices or parts of?
where i will have a device code that is complete
with out the work around?

thanks
i just need a little push............?

Without knowing what the phone upgrade looks like, nor which upgrade file you used, it's impossible for anyone here to help you.

However, if you post your IR file (which contains the phone upgrade) to the Diagnosis Area (and post a link to it here) and also post a link to the upgrade that you used, I bet one of us can sort it out for you.

I found the upgrade file you are using here...

This file clearly states that the arrow buttons also serve as VOL and CH buttons, so all you would need to do is assign those functions to the volume buttons in KM (or RM) and you would be all set.
