2. Type of device: DVD-R/VHS Combo
3. JP1 Remote model: RS 2117
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? Yes
6. Checked the file section? Yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
8. Partially working setup code? No
9. Learning remote question? No
Well, I just got this device. I set it up on my RS with no problems by learning (KM file with upgrade uploaded in file area). Now I am looking for extras Device uses NECx1 45.45 protocol. I never figured if there was some pre-programmed code, just learned all the keys and created upgrade. Do you think I will have any luck with finding discrete codes? |

Your OBCs are spread all the way across the 0-255 range, so what I would do if I were you would be to create dummy upgrades that contain all of the gaps in that range, then load them into the remote and try all the buttons to see if any of them do anything. If you find a code that turns the unit off, try it again to make sure it doesn't turn it back on again. If it doesn't, you've just found the discrete off code.
Then, I'd try the OBC before and after to see if that's the discrete on. If it isn't, when you're finished testing all the gap codes with the unit turned on, try them all again with the unit turned off to see if you can find the on code. _________________ Rob
