I'm currently using Samsung HLN Series DLP TV.txt from the files section as the base to build my device upgrade. It is missing codes for hdmi1 and hdmi2.

I found this at avsforum:

This contains all possible codes for these TVs. Using this config, I was able to determine that code "E9" switches to the HDMI2 input.

Here is Hugh Oliveto's readme:

I have not done extensive testing, just a quick pass through the codes. I did find these interesting:

8B = HDMI1
C0 = Diagnostic1
C1 = Diagnostic2
DE = movie mode
DF = standard mode
E1 = Zoom2
E2 = Panorama
E3 = 4:3
E4 = 16:9

I went to remotecentral and decoded the ccf. I then tried tried using the efc from the results file that corresponded to E9 and 8B but they do not seem to work when I try to use keymoves. There is also a spreadsheet at remotecentral that list decimal, hex, and binary values. Again, I don't know how to convert E9 to something that I can plug into the keymap master.

I'm sure I'm missing some trivial detail. Thanks.

I'm moving this over to the Code Search forum. Please check out the sticky thread there and provide the answers to the template questions.

NEC2, 7, 7 (a common Samsung protocol) gives the following:
OBC 046 EFC 086 Hex 8B
OBC 104 EFC 069 Hex E9

Are these the EFCs that you've been entering? If so and still no luck then what is the actual device that you are trying to control?

Sort of figured it out. I found some Pronto Hex codes and then used the IRTool.exe to convert it.

Here is what converted to:

HDMI 1 081 233 68
HDMI 2 067 139 2E

I still don't know this protocol stuff too well to figure out on my own why I just couldn't use the original hex values. I now have to go and hunt down the pronto hex code for the other discrete codes I need that aren't in the upgrade txt file.

I'll upload my file once I'm done with it. The new 1080p Samsung sets have a bug where the video is degraded when you switch inputs. A work around is to send the discrete for the picture mode after you switch inputs so it can re-apply the appropriate settings. So this is very important until we get a firmware released for the Samsungs.
