I doubt it is JP1 compatible. Do you see any cooper tracks connected to 6 holes? _________________ Get the coolest diy gadgets from http://www.diygadget.com today! |

nope. but i figured if its got the right chip and stuff, maybe it'd be possible to throw the male pins into the six pre drilled holes, and then just solder wires to the right points on the board? |

Take a look around and see if there are any pics of the inside of the DRC400 remote, as that one is JP1 compatible (or at least, it might have been hacked to be). If we work on the assumption that the chip here is either the same as, or similar to, the DRC400 chip, it might give you some clues as to where to solder the wires and the EEPROM chip. _________________ Rob

i tried yahoo and google and searching motorola's websites, and could find no pics of the drc400 circuit board.
and, unfortunately, the cable company is using new boxes and remotes and i just moved and had to turn in the old box and remote. so i no longer have the drc450 anymore. now i have those new jp1.2 remotes that comcast is using as well.
oh well. finally ordered some 9910s, so that i can finally start toying around with this stuff.
thanks for the input guys,
