Hello,

I'm looking for discrete on/off for my Panasonic receiver/home theater. I've found a possibility over at remote central but need to convert the pronto code to Jp1-able code. I understand that there is a JP1 version of the irtool.exe (I was told that I don't want the original one over at remotecentral). However, I'm having trouble locating the irtool file. I've found and downloaded the instruction file by Ron indicating how to use it but I was wondering if anyone had a link to the file and/or a copy of the file itself that you'd be willing to upload. I'd really appreciate it.

Also, if any better site are known for finding Panny discretes, I'd be most grateful!

Thanks in advance.
Rachel

I think it's still over at Yahoo.

Thanks Greg. Found it there and successfully used it to get my Panny discretes!

Just FYI, the panny discretes are usually OBC 62 and 63, and they use the same device code and sub-device code as the power toggle button, which is usually OBC 61.

Few questions about the upgrade file you posted SC-HT05.
There is a distinction in two sound field control codes:
160.20:49 SFC-Music
160.20:160 SFC_Movie
SFC_Movie is a new one, as far as I can tell. What does it do differently from SFC-Music?

Is input mode 160.000:168 digital/analog toggle?

Your upgrade shows Tone/balance code 16.20:136. There is a receiver that uses the same code for just tone, and a separate balance control code 160.0:38. When you find some spare time while trashing six remotes, I wonder if you could try it, and if it doesn't work, also try 160.20:38.
