There's another issue that occurred to me after making my previous post. Normally when you solder in a 6-pin connector, the solder serves two purposes, it both secures the pins in place and it makes electrical contact.
In the case of the RCU810, it only serves one purpose, ie, to make electrical contact. There's no way that using as little solder as I'm suggesting, on pins that aren't even pertruding past the surface of the PCB, will be enough to secure the pins in place, so you will need to use some glue anyway to hold the 6-pin in place. _________________ Rob
