I have been having troubles with IR just crashing after a few minutes use. I have done everything I can think of to solve the problem. Making a clean install of the latest version and eliminating all old versions. But it crashes with out warning. The longest I can get it to last is about five minutes.
I have two machines I run it on. Both have the latest versions of XP. One is a 1400 ADM and the other is a 3000 ADM. It does on it both which implies to me it not the machines. It functions fine until it crashes.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the box ADM or AMD?
Is it a 64-bit processor by any chance? |

I am sorry it is AMD and one machine is 64-bit. But the 1400 is not 64-bit. I have tried to install the drivers for the USB interface. But it claims it doesn't recognize them. It still crashes. I can get it to last as long as five minutes before it crashes.
Have you had trouble with the 64-bit processor? |

No I did not, don't have one.
Several people at work do have some problems with old 32-bit applications as well as with multitasking. Is it relevant to IR? don't know, I'm just making a wild guess as to possible area to look into.
You need experts' advice here.
There are new drivers for the USB interface - search the forum and look for USB in the past 2-3 months. There has been some significant change recently. |
