Like device listings?

What I mean is in many cases a Philips device w/model number PZXY will be the same as Magnavox device w/model number of MYXZ.

But if you are trying to find MYXZ you might not know that the codes for PZXY will work correctly?

I think DEVICES.XLS (not older devices4.xls) will give you exactly the information you are looking for. Rob posted it in Oct. 2004. I can't find it on yahoo, nor in the download section here

Rob, where are you?
It would be great if it were part of a sticky someplace.

Edited: I found it. I think this is it: devices.zip
I'm not authorized to look at it and IE says it's not here, except it is. I don't see it in Tools section of files on this forum.

Try the link now. It was a capital D and one DOT in devices.zip so I fixed your link

Nils, thanks much for fixing a mistyped link
Neverthless, at home, all I get from the Yahoo files section is IE error 403 (Page not found and I don't have rights). That's the  sad  state since about October. The only files i can download from Yahoo are txt files. Unlikely to be related to any firewall settings, since I can download zips and all other formats from the file section on this forum.
Any ideas?

At least on my system, I always find the solution in ZoneAlarm's settings. If you use ZA, the settings are - [Privacy>site list>www.hifi-remote.com] needs mobile code permission. It also may be in your IE settings for downloading if you use that. Do you remember what happened back in October... besides Oktoberfest? Minor things will be hard to remember until you find the problem!

Right on the money :) . I spent some time on their forum this morning learning. I ignored all advice for reinstallation, permitted mobile code after reading the explanations, found it in two places. The key one is, like you said, on the privacy list: I took off the red x put in green check mark and for the first time in months zip files just came in :D . I think there was an upgrade in October, not sure, or else I locked it all up tighter then.
