I don't know if any of you have had this happen....

But I just got the 'Upgrade' to my Philips DirecTivo Series 2 software version 6.2.

Now all of my 'Menu' and 'Guide' commands no longer work!?!

Even on the original OEM remote!?!

I have to use the 'Left/Right' arrow keys and 'Info' key??

Any ideas?!?

If your oem remote doesn't work either, then don't have a series 2 peanut remote, but a series 1. After the upgrade, series 2 are no longer responding to series 1 tivo commands for Menu & Guide. If you have UEI remote that accepts EFC's for tivo, map 058 for menu and 150 for guide.

One button on my JP1 remote stopped wotrking with the DTivo

I use a URC 8910 to control a DirecTivo series 2.

Recently the DTivo was upgraded in the same way as the original poster. The only change I noticed was that my Menu key, which previously functioned like the blue 'DirecTV' key on the original peanut remote, now does nothing.

My original remote works as it always did.

Anyone know what happened here? Or how to fix it?

Map EFC 058 to the menu key. It will get you to the directv central. But no longer will get you to the NPL. For that you can use EFC 166.

Thanks, Edmund, that did it.

For my understanding, where did you get this information?
