Hi All:

The version 11 of the USB chipset from delcom has some problems. Fortunately, delcom fixed the problem immediately. The latest version (ver 12) addressed the problem. DIYGADGET's USB cables/kits are using the new USB chips. Therefore, you will not be experiencing the "Data read back differs from data written" problem.

Thanks.

Will you be stocking or do you have either the jp1.1 (old) or jp1.x (both old and new) serial cables?

Prelude's serial cables are just JP1.2, the ones that jherrick makes are JP1.x. I will have more of these in stock in about a week.

Great Rob. Let me know when you get them and I may order a remote or two at the same time.

Thanks

Hi, the PCB is the latest jp1.x interface. I omitted R1, Q1 and D1. If you have correct tools and components, you can solder R1 Q1 and D1 on the PCB to make it a JP1.x cable.

We have stocked some Dual RS232 to TTL Converter. It uses MAX3232, works for 3.0 and 5.0V. Two DB9 female connectors are provided. The onboard jumpers allow you to have two working converters without handshaking or one converter with handshaking.

What does this device do?

I think it is to convert voltage levels from RS232 to TTL for connecting PC serial ports to microcontrollers.

As to what the usage is for JP1 context, I do not know.

As far as I can tell, diygadget is out of business. I ordered a JP1 cable on April 11, have since e-mailed 3 times. No response. According to Paypal, my payment remains unclaimed after two weeks.

Same here (ordered on April 15), but my payment was "completed."
