1. Device: Sanyo HT30744
2. Type of device: HDTV
3. JP1 Remote model: URC-9910
4. JP1 user? yes
5. Still have original remote? no
6. Checked the file section? yes
7. Checked the Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes
8. Partially working setup code? 0154
9. Learning remote question? no

I don't have the original remote, and the built-in "Sanyo" tv codes (0154) don't include the "PIX Shape" key that is required to zoom a letterbox picture to fill the screen.

TV/0154 is NEC1:56.

I did an extract of all NEC1:56 commands from all CCF files I've downloaded from RC.

None have any command with either pix or shape in the function name.

Most have EFC number 123 for the "Video Mode" function. I don't have an HDTV, but I would think "Video Mode" would be control the feature you're requesting.

I have the HT32744 and I think the EFC for PIX SHAPE is 106. There's a post over at RemoteCentral that contains most of the advanced codes.

For some reason, I don't have (or can't find) my upgrade file on my PC nor can I find the one I thought I uploaded to the files section. I can't even locate the saved learned signals from IR... Embarassed

Either tonight or tomorrow I'll try finding the file(s) (which may be on an old hard drive that's currently in mothballs) or recreate one based on the upgrade I'm using.

I can't seem to load your file in the latest version of RM.

The problem you are having loading this file into RM is a result of KM adding double quotes in the file.

KM did this because there is a comma in the contents of a user specified field.

The line causing the problem is
Code:
"Upgrade Code 0 = 04 82 (TV/1154) Sanyo HDTV (HT30744, HT32744) (KM v8.33)",,,,,,,,,,,,

Removing the double quotes as follows will allow you to load the file:
Code:
Upgrade Code 0 = 04 82 (TV/1154) Sanyo HDTV (HT30744, HT32744) (KM v8.33),,,,,,,,,,,,

I will fix this in RM, but this will get you going faster.

I need discrete codes for inputs

Device: Sanyo DP37647
2. Type of device: HDTV LCD
3. JP1 Remote model: URC-8910
4. JP1 user? yes
5. Still have original remote? yes
6. Checked the file section? yes
7. Checked the Pronto file section (at R/C)? no...where's this?
8. Partially working setup code? 0154
9. Learning remote question? ...I've pretty much got it

I've already added PIX and Caption button. Moved the enter button to the select button.
But I have to cycle up to 7 clicks to get through the various inputs.

If you point me where to go I'd appreciate it.

I haven't looked at them myself, but there are 4 Sanyo TV upgrades in the file section, you could check them to see if they contain any discretes...

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=23&sort_method=file_name&sort_order=ASC&start=258

There are 4 CCF files in the Pronto section at Remote Central...
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=devices&br=sanyo&dv=television

The only Sanyo discrete listed in the Discrete Code section at R/C are for a Sanyo projector, so it doesn't sound too hopeful...
