Thanks for the pointer, Rob. I'll come back to this project another time. For now, I'm just going to play around with the new Kameleon URC-6690.

Since mending my parents' TV once ("The only thing it reminds me of is if it's been struck by lightning" as the TV repair man said later) I recall this poem every time I'm temtped to "mend" something electrical.
