JP1 Remotes

First of all, I have a 15-2116 remote and am using IR.exe 6.00 with a USB cable bought from filebug. Read all the newbie doc's and the rest before I even bought anything.

I have reset the remote and can download data fine, but when I try to upload I always get the error "data read back differs from data written". I've tried doing another reset and then uploading a blank data from IR.exe and get the same error. Even tried to use and older IR.exe and get the same error. Anyone have any thoughts for this?

Hi, have you solved the problem?

I have isolated this problem to the Delcom USB chip. They must have made a change to the code they programmed into this chip because the older chips do not cause any errors. I will be contacting them Monday to discuss this issue. In the meantime, please send me an email at jp1@filebug.com for return and replacement information.
