What's up with the hacked page here?!
Am I the only one who's getting an "overlay" and popup webpage from http:(double backslash)illegalteam(dot)com when I load my JP1 forums page?
It says "Warning! Cyberturk & staff here Turkish hackers".

Why on EARTH would somebody want to hack these forums???
I was quite sad to see that too.
I hope it doesn't cause too much trouble |

Yeah, it seems to be limited to the forums index page, as I have not had this occur on the various sub-forum index pages or on any particular message or elsewhere on the site. |

Yeah... definitely annoying but I can see some humor and irony in it too. The hackers getting hacked and all that (though I imagine throwing a pop-up ad and splash page over a harmless and helpful!! site like this would hardly merit much kudos among the aficionados...) |

I am impressed, you folks figured out a way in..
I sent Rob a note to make sure he is aware of the situation. _________________ Nils

I want to thank Nils for sending me an email letting me know that the site had been hacked as I hadn't noticed yet. I don't visit the forums that much at the moment (as I'm kinda taking a break from remote stuff) and even when I do visit, I have the "posts since your last visit" URL bookmarked, so I wouldn't have seen it anyway.
I found the hacked code in the description for the non-JP1 forum and removed it. I'm still trying to find out how they got in and what I can do to stop them.
(Jim also sent me a PM, but of course, I don't see those until I visit the forum! )
EDIT: I've just gone through the rest of my emails (I stopped reading them when I got Nils' email) and I also need to thank Jim and Jeff for also sending me emails on the subject. _________________ Rob

I was really freaking out last night as I was worried that it was an issue with my laptop. I agree that it is odd that they would hack this forum. Fun and games on the internet

If you do a Google on "hacked illegalteam" you'll find that there are several forum sites that have been hit, and the fact that they got registered with Google like that means the site owner hasn't figured out how to fix them yet. _________________ Rob
