RCU810 : successful mimic of Harmony remotes!

Post by Bebert2 »

Hi there guys!

For the last few weeks, i've been tring to learn about the extenders that are available for the RCU810. I pretty much nailed down everything, but I got to say that the docs for the extenders are not that easy to understand.

If anyone needs help on how to get their RCU810 extender going, feel free to ask and I will gladly help. All this JP1 stuff is really great but you need to try stuff and keep reading the forums even if posts are not 100% related to what you are looking for. The RCU810 seems to be an outdated remote, but I find it works great and I wonder why people don't talk about it that much in the forums? I say you should really consider grabbing it if you see it on sale.

Now, on to my remote. I setup my DVD and CBL device keys so that when they are pressed, they also select the correct input on my TV and A/V receiver. The only annoyance is that some of my components do not have discrete on/off codes. I tried to make it simple for the girlfriend with "All On" and "All Off" macros but she can get it into a mode where only 1/2 the stuff turns on while the other half is turning off. :?

Have a nice day!
