1. Device: Yamaha CDX-1030
2. Type of device: CD Player
3. JP1 Remote model: URC-8811
4. JP1 user? Yes
5. Still have original remote? Yes
6. Checked Yahoo file section? Yes
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
I have used code 0036 and most features work, but the power button does not work. The original remote does not have a power button. Can I program my remote to power on/off the unit? |

CD players often have a push in/out power button that is not remote controllable. The thinking is that you will plug the CD player into the outlet that's on the back on some audio receivers, so the CD player will turn on when the receiver is turned on.
My CD player is like this, but I don't have an outlet on the back of my receiver, so I use an X10 module to control the CD's power. _________________ Rob
