15-2116 vs the 8910?

I own a RS 15-2116, which I have programmed to jump through the hoops of my HT +DVR system. I like what it can do, but always wished it had more buttons. Then I saw my daughter's OFA 8910, and developed "button envy".
Are there distinct disadvantages for one vs the other? If I switch, is it better to get the HT-pro for the rubberized feel? In short, do I lose anything by trading the 2116 for an 8910?

The 15-2116 allows macros on the device buttons without having to install an extender. The 8910/9910/HTPro will require an extender for that.
The backlight on the 8910/9910/HTPro isn't as nice.
The buttons on the 8910/9910/HTPro are smaller.
As far as I can tell, those are the only issues.
The
current deal on the HTPro from X10 makes it awfully hard to buy anything else.

The 8910/9910/HT-Pro also allow macros on the device buttons, unextended.

The photo on X10's site looks like a Producer 8. Did they put up the wrong photo or is that really the remote they are selling?

As for the difference between 8910 and the HT-Pro, not counting the RF ability, the cursor pad on the new version of the 8910 is solid silver, not transparent like on the HT-PRO, so the red backlighting doesn't show through on the 8910. And if you like feel of the back of the 2116, the HT-PRO has the texture as well.

This has been discussed in great length over the last couple of days, and yes, they are using the wrong picture. Do a search on ht-pro and you'll find the discussions.
