I have a RS 15-2116 which I know is JP1able out of the box. However, I was looking for a list of all of the known JP1able remotes and what it takes to upgrade them if anything to be JP1able.

Is there a list somewhere that details each remote and what it takes to JP1 it?

That would be a great resource for a newbie. Plus, it would help others that what to try another JP1 remote. Specifically, I was interested in the 6131 PVR remote - but by searching the Yahoo! forum I learned that it requires upgrading the eprom in order to work.

From Radio Shack, the 15-2116 and 15-2117 are both JP1 ready OOTB. If they still have the 15-2104 in stock, that's also JP1 ready, but none of the other current RS remotes are.

From OFA, the JP1 ready remotes are URC-8811, URC-8910, URC-9910. The Kameleon (URC-9960) requires a pogo-pin adapter to work with JP1.

The cheaper remotes that require modification to work with JP1 are the URC-6011/6012, URC-8011/8017 and URC-6131. Each of these requires both an EEPROM chip and a 6-pin connector to be added. In addition, the 601x and 801x remotes require a wire to be soldered across the JMP2 spot.

I have modified 6012s available for $15 each, 8011s for $20 each and 6131s for $25 each. Shipping for the 6012/8011s is $2 and for the 6131 it's $4. (If you don't need the printed manual, shipping for the 6131 is just $2).

In the Misc folder of the JP1 group's Files section is a fairly comprehensive list of remotes. It's also available as an Excel spreadsheet.

Thanks Mark - that link obviates the need for a spreadsheet here in this forum. Thanks!

Also, the OFA 8810w is JP1 ready OOTB. I just picked one up from Walmart.
