KM's "NEW - LOAD - SAVE - GOto IR" buttons

Following the tutorial, and with some Forum help, I was able to accomplish my first small upgrade. I was able to work around a situation that I ran into using KM and could use some help to correct my problem. The problem that I ran into was that I could not get any functional response from any of the 6 buttons (LOAD, SAVE, GOTO etc) that are positioned just under the Upgrade Description box. All the add-ins under the Tools drop-down are active.
Thanks ......................./herb

This is covered in the keymap-master-readme.txt file.
KM uses Microsoft Office VBA code (macros). When opening the
spreadsheet, you MUST select "Enable Macros", OR ensure that your
security settings allow macro code to be executed, in order for
KM to function properly (for specific details, see the Microsoft
Excel help file). Without macro capability, you won't be able to
LOAD or SAVE Device Upgrade files, or use any of KM's advanced
features, like the command buttons on the Setup sheet.

If the buttons aren't working, you either didn't enable macros, or your security settings in Excel are preventing macros from running. Without macro support, the buttons won't work.

I did enable the macros when the screen came up. What's the process for correcting the security issue?

I just verified that the "trust all installed macro's" box is and has been checked.

If you can't get it working, give
RemoterMaster (RM) a try. If you've been reading
JP1 - Just How Easy Is It?, there is an
addendum for RM users.

What version of Windows and Excel are you using? Try unzipping a fresh copy of KM and try again. Sometimes Excel can get finicky, so rebooting the computer might help as well.

When I first ran KM I didn't have VBA insdtalled, so I installed it. Then when I opened the KM excel sheet it still didn't work - it turned out that excel had saved it without the macos enabled, and they wouldn't fire up.
I just downloaded it again ad all was well.
That said - I'm with greg - his Remote Master is a much nicer way of programming an upgrade.
