I am using the URC-6011 extender 3-2K with a OFA 8810B remote. The remote will function properly for several minutes then I lose basic functions such as guide button for cable. I have uploaded the IR file to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files/Diagnosis%20Area/2005-01-18.IR
Without the extender the remote works fine. I am sure I am missing something basic but cannot seem to find it in any of the posts.
Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't looked at your file yet. But more specific symptoms would help.
When you lose those functions, has the extender been deactivated? Can you get it back by pressing TV Power?
If that's not it, I'll probably need a little more detail about what works and what doesn't during that problem and what you need to do to get it all back (reload via JP1?, just wait and it fixes itself? or what?) |

I did lose functions after running M1 macro, although I am sure that I have lost functions after other key presses.
I did try a TV Power immediately afterwards and got four led blinks and the functions returned. |

Extenders are very sensitive to things like device upgrades that don't have a matching protocol upgrade (when a protocol upgrade is needed), or keymoves that refer to non-existant setup codes, so check all that sort of stuff.
If there's one particular macro that seems to cause it consitantly, focus in on the steps performed by that macro. _________________ Rob
