Subject to review by IR and/or rdf experts, a temporary workaround worth trying and better testing than I can do at this time is to add to the rdf a button data such as 'none=$63' (in 8910), which has nothing coded on it. $00 might be allowed as well. IR honours my 'none' and presents it in the list of available buttons with a result such as
21 AUX SHIFT-Select ToadTog(5,ForceOn) [Already On]: [Off/On]:none
Too early to tell whether this will do the job in all instances, as I was just making one of these flag-forcing and flag-testing affairs, so when IR objected to the missing buttons I decided to try faking it and take the risk of my rdf now being out of synch with the standard. Also, I don't know the highest legal number. $67 crashed my remote.
I don't know where to post this - whether to attach to the original message or Rob's summary.
