JP1 Remotes

I'm starting a new thread because I get the feeling that my original thread is being ignored, perhaps because the subject line was too specific, however, please respond in the original thread.

Basically, we think we have found a bug in the extender for the Sony DirecTivo remote where the SHIFT operation doesn't work properly. This extender was written by Hal, but he's not around much anymore, so I'm looking to the rest of you to help out. So far none of the experts have offered any assistance in the other thread, which is very disappointing. Even though I started the thread, on behalf of someone else, there is now another user with the same problem, so I'm asking once again for some assistance.

It's not often that I come to these forums looking for help (rather than giving it) so it's been very dis-heartening to see that there's no help to be found.

Speaking only for myself, I can say that I started to hold back on a lot of the extender threads when I noticed several others stepping up. I must admit my patience started to run a little thin after answering the same RTFM questions several times and it was nice to see newer members helping out.

The problem was that I started using the 'View Posts Since Last Visit' and topics would drop off my radar screen if no one would reply.
