Thanks to the advice of an AVSForum member, I bought a JP1 compatible remote (URC8811) and set up several device codes for my HT. My original reason for doing this was that the Daewoo plasma has a simple remote that only allows one to cycle through the video inputs; they can't be directly accessed (as in going directly to Component 1/2, etc).
I've been able to set up device codes for the receiver, DVD player, cable box (even for our camcorder and SLR remote), but the device codes for the Daewoo (file downloaded from JP1 Yahoo groups) does not work properly. Only some of the keys match the assignment given in the KM setup, and the direct access to the video source simply doesn't work. I am wondering if someone else has tried the Daewoo DP42S file and gotten it to work properly? Is there perhaps a more complicated remote out there for these units that can replace the simlified model sold with the unit? Getting the direct input set up would greatly facilitate programming a macro sequence to allow everyone else at home to just hit one button to get the system up and running; this is currently causing a great deal of consternation among other non-tech oriented family members.
Thank you in advance for your help.

First offf, you should create a KM (or RM) file that correctly matches your plasma and load it up into the file section (along with any other KM/RM files that you had to create rather than download) then post a link to the file here.
Hopefully someone here will recognise the codeset and will be able to give you the discrete codes.
