Each remote is configured differently, so if you load a file designed for a URC-8910 directly into the Atlas the buttons will be all messed up, as you have discovered. I gave you that link so you would know the correct process. As I wrote that document, for me to write anymore here I would just be repeating what i wrote in the doc and there doesn't seem much point. If you follow the steps outlined you will have successful results.

The process using RM instead of KM is pretty much the same, as the RM doc should show.

Suzook,

Pretty funny, I just got the Atlast 5 DVR remote and that DVD player.

Took me a while to figure it all out too. I used KM and all I had to do was change the remote type to Atlast DVR from the urc 8910 file I downloaded from the yahoo file and I was good to go. I did first u/l the file without changing the remote type and I got the same results as you.

I'll be happy to send you my modified KM .txt file that you can load into KM. I think I made a couple of changes on top of the default file, so I'm pretty happy with it.

I'll PM you with my email.

Here's the Liteon 2001 upgrade code for the Atlas DVR. All I did to the original file was to change the selected remote to the Atlas.

Sure are... sorry I missed that. Embarassed

KM: Upgrade Code 0 = 17 D1
RM: Upgrade code 0 = 47 d1

It looks like RM is calculating the wrong device index which means that the RDF is incorrect. There seems to be 2 entries for VCR/DVD, and RM seems to be using the last entry (dev index=4).

[DeviceTypes]
TV = 0
VCR/DVD = 1
Cable = 2
CD/Audio = 3
VCR/DVD = 1

Hopefully, Mike England (aka mr_dp_gumby) will see this and offer his help. He's the resident Atlas expert and should know the proper settings for the RDF.
