First time poster: Just a simple question...
bought an OFA 8810 because it had what I needed (backlit display) and it was cheap.
The packaging says it programs VCRs and DVD players, but will it program a DVD/VHS combo player, specifically a Samsung V1000, with a preset code?

There are a few threads about similar Samsung devices, but I'm not sure the V1000 uses the same signals as those models.
The signals in those models are the ones available in setup codes VCR/0432 and VCR/0643 but the functions are probably not mapped to the right keys.
Any mismapped or missing functions in those setup codes could be fixed using EFC KeyMoves, using EFC numbers that you can find in various threads on this subject and in the files those threads reference.

Of course creating a new upgrade via JP1 cable would give you better results in probably less work than patching a built-in setup code with KeyMoves.
