Remote may be too fast, how to slow it up?

Post by bigbge »

I have a OFA 8910. I downloaded the upgrade codes for the USDTV reciever. Everything works except the box seems unresponsive. I have to press each key a few times to get it to repond. Is there a simple way to slow down the remote transmissions or put a delay between bytes.

Totally off the wall, but try taping over the small IR receiver next to the power button on the box with black electrical tape.

Long story short but I did this last night and it significantly helped reception. Although I didn't test it thuroughly so I can't say for sure this is the reason for better reception.

See the link here in the AVSforums for more info.
