Help on 8060

This is the JP1 beginners forum. There's no such thing as a stupid question in here, so post away, but this forum is just for JP1 users and people considering JP1, non-JP1 users please use the appropriate forum above!

Help on 8060

Post by jcee »

I have just bought a 8060 (Germany "One for all")
And as I can see from this forum there are some gurus around who have some experience with these ones.. (Maybe there is a better forum to place my question, then please tell me)

Actually I have THREE questions:

1. Is the 8060 JP1 compatible? I have read severall rumors .. some telling yes, others no.. :-(

2. These remotes are with a blue backlight. Is it possible to turn them into red? Maybe by replacing the leds inside or is it a matter of the plastic layer/film...?!

3. How sensitive is the motion sensor? I am going to install (fix) it in my car for controlling an XBOX via IR. I would like to have the backlight on as soon as I start the car or turn on the light. Maybe the motion sensor can do this for me?!?

Any hints?
Thank you in advance?

1. Absolutely, where did you see someone saying that it's not JP1 compatible?

2. Not that I know of.

3. You can alter the sensitivity of the motion sensor, read this...
