ok the "Comcast" remote that i had laying around has been laying around because it lost all it's programing .. i know this is just a genric programable remote with a comcast faceplate stuck on it .. now when i use ir.exe to download from it , it tells me it doesnt know what the remote is .. ive done some searching but i havent been able to work out what it is ...
the internal board has
50530-003-0016
REV:03
printed on it ... i could of sworn i havce read somewhere that 50530 is a common model of a well knowen remote , but i cannot find an information about it.

What you have is a Navigator, which should be recognized by IR when you download it. Do you have all the RDFs downloaded?
If you really have an unheard of before remote, you should post the IR dump in the Diagnosis Area and one of us while decipher it for ya.

ok , so it's a navagator .. somthing is wrong with it then , because ir does not know what it is and i have this in the dir
CYC1 (Navigator URC-44000-B02_B04).rdf
i'm assuming it's the correct one .. i get alot of checksum errors etc from it. .. i'm gettin
no data found in signature
when i download from remote ..
the batt cover also has
URC-44CXXXB02
so i know the #'s are correct ... you think the chip on the remote got messed?
i tried doing a new , navagator , then uploading to remote ... and now i get
