Spudnuts, where's your file? I'm looking all through the DVD section and can only find the I-LO DVDR04 files. I'm working on my own file, but I thought I'd check out yours, as long as I'm at it.

Where are you looking. The DVDRHD04 is in the DVD folder here.

Just FYI, this player uses the same signals as those sent by the DVD/0558 and DVD/0623 setup codes, but the EFCs are completely different. I'm mentioning this just in case some non-JP1 user wants to be able to control this player. To do this you would use one of those setup codes and then re-program the buttons using the EFCs from David's file.

Yes, this is confirmation that the DVD/0558 and 0623 codes do work with the ilo dvr recorders.

This should work for the All-in-One remotes (and possibly many others).

I used the URC-6131nw all-in-one model.

Set DVD -> 0623 code (you can also use the PVR button).

You then need to reassign the keys using the 994 code as follows:

2 => power
0 => menu
rewind => tv/video
play => fast-forward
exit => |<< (prev chapter)
|| (pause) => > (move right)
info => chapter
< (move left) => stop
OK => PVR
^ (up) => OK
7 => ^ (move up)
guide => play (and last menu)

There are a few other keys, but this gets most of the basic function.
Works ok for simple playback of the unit, however for other functions like copy to disc/hardrive, there appears to be no key that transmits the correct code, so you will still need your ilo remote to do any serious editing Sad

Thanks for the pointers and all the great info.

If you had understood Rob's statement, which you quoted, you would realize you DON'T need the original ilo remote. You can use a slightly different form of the 994 command to assign EFC numbers to keys to get all the functions you're now missing. You can use that JP1 upgrade file (even though you're not using JP1) to find out the EFC numbers you'd need to do that.

Please don't take this as criticism (for misunderstanding the statement you quoted). I know JP1 terminology can be a bit intimidating for the uninitiated. Just be aware that if you want to program more functions via the 994 command, there is a way to do it.

This did not work for my URC-8820/B00 using the PVR button. Didn't try the DVD button as it is already in use.

PVR codes and DVD codes are the same in the URC-6131, but they are different in the URC-8820. If you were to try the code on the DVD button you would find that it works. If you want to use the PVR button instead, you will need to MODE MAP it (ie, command 992) to convert it into a DVD button.
