Kameleon without a JP1 port?

I bought an 8 in 1 Kameleon remote from Wal mart yesterday. Popped open the battery cover and I only see gold pads where I figure there should be a connector. I thought all Kameleons/Oneforall devices had the JP1 connector. No?

That is the JP1 port. The Kameleons never come with the 6-pin connector, they always have the pads, which is why we developed the pogo-pin adapter for the Kameleon. Of course, using the pogo is a little akward which is why I sell modified Kameleons (for $65 each) where I have soldered in the 6-pin conenctor.

This is the first I've heard of Walmart selling the Kameleon, so I'm curious, what is their price for it?

Oh god, more soldering....I just modified my Xbox....
Anyways, so I'm going to have to order a pogo pin adapter? I guess I'll search around for what I'm gonna need. I think the model I got was the URC 9960 and they only had one left on a clearance shelf. It was $59. I'm thinking that if you sell them for $65 already modified, I'll just return this one and order from you. How do I get one from you, paypal? And here's a newbie question: Why do the Kameleons only come with the pads instead of the connector?

Click on the link in my signature for full details of all the remotes that I sell and my payment methods, but yes, I do take Paypal.

As you already know, the 9960 comes in a big plastic box. In order to be able to ship this remote for just $4 I re-package the remote without the plastic box, but if you want to box I can keep the remote in it, but the shipping cost will be more (and I'll need your zip code to calculate it).

You can get the pogo-pin adapters for $10 from the following web sites:
