I am currently running with Ext-2 and am looking at moving to Ext 5 to get the LKP/DKP and more macro/move space.
Are there any tricks? What do I need to do before installing the Ext 5?
Many thanks for any pointers. |

I think you can carry regular key moves and upgrade protocols with Extinstall (either running it manually or in the "Converting file for extender" menu in IR.exe). Just make sure you put the RDFs for your current extender and the new one in the right directory.
You'll have rewrite macros and the keymoves using special protocols because device selection method is very different, and some special macros work differently. You should delete the special protocols before upgrade to avoid confusion between old ones and the ones comes with ext5.
