Opening up the URC 9960

I want to add a soldered jp1 connector to the URC 9960, but am fearful of leaning too hard on the case and breaking it. I've removed the 2 screws under the battery and pulled and pushed a bit without any indication of the mechanism holding the 2 parts together - Any ideas or help greatly appreciated

Get a very small screwdriver and force it into the crack, pushing slightly upwards until you have forced an opening, then slide an old credit card into the opening and drag it along the edge until all the clips are open.
