This remote doesn't have a JP1 connector, nor any kind of provision for one, so I hooked on up the hard way just to see what's inside.
Well, first off, it ships with a 0.5k EEPROM so I replaced it with a 2k chip to see if that inspired the remote to perform any better, but nada! No upgrade section and no learning.
All this for $50, what a complete bust! _________________ Rob

Good to know. Let's all not buy one! (except Rob that is )
You have to wonder, how much money did they save by putting in a 0.5K eeprom? A few pennies? I would like to think that over the long run, JP1ers advice to newbies buying remotes, to "steer clear" of these crapfest remotes, would lower sales enough to offset the few pennies it would have taken to make this remote decent for JP1. Ah well, at least it is a damn Kameleon, so who really cares if it sucks It would be alot worse if they unveiled a decent remote (15-1994ish) and screwed with it like this. _________________ -Steve
