It states in the manual of the URC-9960 that you can assign a macro on the power button of the Home Theater device. It even tells you how. Can this be done through IR? I want the power button to turn all devices on or off. Thanks! |

Hey Flipper, this sure sounds like another one of those "try it and see" type questions. If it's not immediately intuitive how to do it in IR, try doing it on the remote and then download using IR to see how it shows up.
I don't want to discourage you from asking questions, but in the time it took you to post that question and for Paul to answer it, you could have answered it yourself just by trying it out on the remote. _________________ Rob

You are correct Rob. Here lately, I have been trying to figure out things intellectually instead of actually doing it. My wife's father is in town and the TV (and remote) have been tied up basically 24/7.
I waited for everyone to go to sleep last night and then tried things out. I programmed the HT power macro using the remote and then uploaded it to IR. It shows up under macros as bound to the Power button. So i modified it to work exactly how I wanted it and all is good.
Thanks for putting up with me! I am learning a lot! |
