Protocol ASYNC5.444
Posted: Sun Sep 05, 2004 4:02 am
I have used my 8060 to learn new codes and the Protocol shows a SONY 20 protocol and a ASYNC.444. I want to put this information into KM. Am I correct in assuming that the ASYNC.444 is an error and all I should need is the information in the SONY 20 protocol.
I am also seeing this message on most of the keys
Part of this signal is sent after the button is released. While this could be correct, it may indicate that the signal was not learned optimally. It is recommended that you attempt to re-learn the signal at least once, being sure not to release the button until the remote's LED flashes twice.
I have re-learnt the keys but still get the same message. I also have the following info in the SET ONCE WHEN KEY IS PRESSED(this type of info is in this field for most of the keys)
+2388 -604 +1194 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -15960 +2388 -604 +1194 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -15960 +2388 -604 +1194 -600 +1194 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600 +596 -600
Do I also have to input this info into KM if so were abouts as the tutorial just explains how the inputs are taken from the Protocol.
I also have a button learnt that has no protocol just a sent once when button is pressed. message with numerical numbers again
I have gone through the learn procedure several times and it is always the same buttons that show the messages.
My last question.
The above is all related to a Sony home cinema with a AMP and DVD built in. I have learnt all the buttons needed and I have around 8 with protocol SONY 15 codes for the AMP and 18 SONY 20 codes for the DVD. The KM only lets you combine 4 SONY 20 protocols with SONY 15's using SONY COMBO 12/15/20. Does this mean I will need to have two seperate devices for the Home Cinema. Ie amp and DVD player or can I get a new protocol that will include more SONY 20's with SONY 15 codes
I have also learnt keys from a panasonic DVD recorder and all these keys are correct and just have a protocol associated to them and no other messages so I feel I am doing it correct as I have no issues with the Panasonic.
Sorry for all the question but the PANASONIC upgrade went without a hitch but the Sony has confused me a little to say the least.
The remote is working with the learned keys but I want to load them using KM and IR.EXE as this will free the memory
Big thanks to everyone that has looked in and has taken the time to read down to this last sentence.
