I have very unusual set of devices I guess...
TV : SONY 27'' Flat Screen (dont remember the model#)
VCR : SV2000 ( it is megnavox if i am not wrong)
DVD : ASPIRE 1100-AD
HTS : ONKYO
Tape: AIwa (couple of years old so dont remember the model#)
I just want to know that if I buy this Remote can i programme all these devices ???
Please dont mind if its a repeat question...
I tried to seach and did not find all info.
Thanks in Advance...

Do you have working original remotes for each of the devices in question? If so and you buy a "learning" JP1 remote, it is very likely the answer will be yes. In my time around the forum, I've seen the "experts" help a lot of people with lots of different devices, and I don't recall a time where someone just gave up because it wouldn't work.
Now, if you don't have the OEM remotes, or you choose not to buy a learning model, things get more complicated. The answer to your question is probably still yes, but it will be considerably more difficult.
Regards,
Matt

Matt
Yes I do have all the original Remotes for all of the above devices.
I was looking at model #15-2117 from Radio Shaq
Again a dumb question.. "How do I know this is a Learning model or not"??

Edit [ you answered half the question while I was typing this long answer. A 2117 is a learning remote. I hope you plan to get (build or buy) the cable. Radio Shack doesn't sell the cable ]

Clarifying (maybe) what Rob said:
If you get a JP1 learning remote AND a JP1 cable, all should be easy and it shouldn't matter whether your devices are unusual.
If you get a JP1 nonlearning remote and cable, you're depending on the experts here being able to guess the codesets of your devices. Usually that works.
If you get the JP1 learning remote but not the cable you depend on enough of the signals you need being built-in that there is enough room in the very limited learning memory for the rest.
A JP1 non learning remote with no JP1 cable is even more limiting.

Sony TV's are easy.

Sounds like a Philips model number, not a Magnavox model number, but either way it's easy. They both almost always use standard Philips codeset for VCRs.

I don't recognise Aspire. That's likely to be easy with JP1 learning remote and cable, but might be hard otherwise (or might be easy by guessing and testing a few code sets from other brands such as Apex that are likely to be sold under multiple obscure brand names).

Onkyo is usually fairly easy.

There's a pretty good chance, even without learning and JP1 cable, we could guess that one. Definitely easy with learning remote and JP1 cable.

Actually it was Matt who first replied, not me.

We have a file for the
Aspire AD-900 which might work.

Aspire is a village found by Acer about 10 years ago. 10 km from my school. Then some of the Acer product tag Aspire brand. Computer notebook DVD player...... I think they all made in Taiwan. Maybe I can help you to find and learning by JP1. But I'm newbie here, a lot thing about JP1 I have not study yet. Let me know if you want me to find the remote control.

AFAIK, the 8811 is the top end, without going to the 9000 series.
The 6131 and 8011 are good models, if you wish to add an EEPROM chip yourself, or buy a pre modded unit. The RS 2117s are on clearance and are good units too.
