Whats the best "BANG FOR THE BUCK" learning JP1 remote?
I just need the CHEAPEST one possible to learn some commands from OEM remotes, then to upload them to my PC, so I can use the codes on my URC 6131.

The 8810w from Walmart is the same as the 8811 from Rob and at roughly the same price (after sales tax if any and shipping). Last time I checked it was under $18 at Walmart.
That seems to be the least expensive consistently available JP1 learning remote as well as one of the best, so usually it's the clear answer to your question.
But Radio Shack is discontinuing the 15-2117 and clearing them out at $15. For your purposes a 15-2117 is the same as an 8811 and $15 is a better price. For other JP1 uses, it's a complicated question whether a 15-2117 is better or worse than an 8811.
