Also, I think your receiver is set to AV2 and must be set to AV1 for the built-in commands to work. Here is how to do that.

Did you post the wrong link? There's probably a relevent upgrade or two in that folder, but I don't see the instructions for switching to AV1 there.

By built-in "commands", I assume you meant built-in setup codes. Without JP1, the advantage of matching a built-in setup code is major. With Jp1, you could just create an upgrade for AV2 (or use one from that folder you linked to above).

Mtreager, if you see any benefit to keeping the receiver set to AV2 (such as it still working with the original remote) then use an upgrade for Sony AV2. If there is no benefit to keeping it AV2, then it souldn't be hard to locate the instructions Jon mentioned (I've seen that at RC several times).

I have looked at this information, and cant figure out how to d/l these files into my remote.

I know how to change AV1 to AV2, and will try that.

How can i get the codes, and D/L them into the remote?

Some codes i am looking for are:

1010
0013
1758 (for the 895)

Thanks!

The information on that page lists EFC codes for individual commands. You would use them to make keymoves from an existing setup code, or to make your own setup code upgrade with the KM or RM programs.

You could also use the EFC codes to modify an existing upgrade from our files eection, such as this one for the STR-DE885, which is set up to use the AV2 mode.
