Every time I open IR504 it initialy opens to the same position as it was when I last closed it then the window jumps down about 10 lines or so on the screen. Versions 4.02 thru 5.03 did not do that.

You may need to open IR move the window, close it, then reopen it to see it happen.

Actually it alwayts does that. It has been coded to show up in the screen center since before I took it over.

Perhaps you never moved of to one side before. This is different than the the size thing. It's all about where the developer wants the dialog to open up in relation to the whole area of the screen.

Hope this helps.....

You are partially right. I just retested and it does not do it in 4.02 just in the version 5's. I think I remember the discussion way back when but then it was only one line now it is more like 10 or more lines that it moves (depending on where it is moved to). Try moving it to the top of the screen then close it and reopen it.

It is no big deal since it only happens if you want to move it and I only noticed it because I wanted it higher up on the screen.

I have a few comments here...

First, I don't think it's wise to package KM and RM within the IR.zip file. They are separate programs which get released on their own schedules.

Second, while I'm all for a more logical directory structure, I think your choice of \irsource\jp1\... is going to be confusing to many people. I'd like to think this was just an oversight on your part since the typical user has no need for an \irsource\... folder. :?

I agree, KM should not be included in the IR zip. Furthermore, I would prefer it if you didn't include the full path info in the zip file. Most of us have our own filing systems so all it does is force us to re-organize the contents after an un-zip.

I did not mean to leave IRSOURCE there. I told WinZip to only package from JP1 down. IRSOURCE is just my staging area when I assemble the package.

As far as the other it was a suggestion form another user to package it that way. The goal was that a brand new user would have all the basic tools rather than have to hunt for them.

The whole point of the path was to gain consistency. It was mostly there to help the new comers....

I'll change it back right away...see new IR504.zip

Save issues

I think there are (still?) some problems with saving.

I opened a .txt file, modified it, and chose Save As... I picked a new file name (foo.IR) and clicked Save. IR warned me that I might be overwriting a file if I do this, and asked if I wanted to save the changes. If I click yes, nothing is saved. If I click no, my new files are created. Ain't that backwards? :?

Hmm.

IR 5.04, Win XP home.
