JP1 Remotes

so I didn't go get a JP1 remote.

1) Do you have a LEARNING JP1 remote? NO I am using the URC-5061(B03)

2) Do you still have an original working remote for the device in question?
No I never had it.

The standard video codes are NOT working the remote is not accepting them. I even searched for the device and they are not working.

HELP I have been looking everywhere for years. I do not want to give them $99.00 for an OEM remote the vcr is worth $75 now.

I'll do whatever it takes get a new remote except fork over $99.00!!

There are two upgrades for Go Video VCRs there. The model numbers don't match your model, but those model numbers don't seem to match each other either, and the contents do match. That increases the odds that it would match your model as well.

I already decoded it and it matches those two upgrades. Note the model number nearly matches your model number. Those combined facts makes it very likely that the commands match your model.

All those matching commands also match four (that I know of) UEI setup codes.

VCR/0432
VCR/0643
DVD/0715
DVD/0820

Most of the JP1 compatible remotes include at least one of those setup codes. (I don't know what a URC-5061 is, so I have no clue whether it includes any of those. I assume you'll try those if you haven't already).

So you could get some cheap UEI remote and hope it includes one of those setup codes. Or you could get a JP1 compatible remote and JP1 cable be able to add the setup code even if it isn't included.

The URC-6012w, available cheap at Walmart (not JP1 compatible in that form) includes three of those four (all you actually need is one of them. Any minor differences among them can be covered with KeyMoves).

Of course a JP1 compatible plus JP1 cable is a better choice.

Just to make the above at little more certain, I checked a CCF file for yet another model (the DDV9755) and it also matches (I think it has a larger selection of advanced codes, so it might be worth checking after you get the basics working).
