Discrete on/off for Hitachi 61SWX01W RPTV?

Hi -

I have a Hitachi 61SWX01W RPTV, circa 2000. I have been
trying find a discrete on/off code to load into my 8811 remote
via JP1. I've tried the codes

but the discrete keys do not work for me.

Somewhere I've seen that only the newer Hitachi sets can use discrete on/off, but I'm not sure what "newer" means in this context. I was wondering if anyone could confirm whether or not my set will receive discrete on/off codes.
