JP1 Remotes

I would want to know if this message is normal when I carry out the test in order to try the operation of my new interface:

No response from the remote. Make sure your Interface is plugged into JP1 properly.

Is normal this message ?

No, this is not normal but I need more info to help.

1) What kind of cable - Simple or ultra or USB or serial
2) Is the remote modified with the pins added or using pogo adapter
3) Has it ever worked?
4) Has the cable worked with other remotes
5) Have you tried without the batteries
6) Have you tried reversing the connection to the remote
7) Have you read the diagnostic information on testing the interface

Some other comments/questions will be based on your answers.

Also, try turning off the interface test in IR and see what happens
