I have a new 9910 and have been happily programming it with JP1. The default 'transport device' while under 'TV' is 'VCR'. I mean that while in TV mode, the 'Forward', ' reverse', 'stop', etc. automatically are mapped to VCR, and I would like to change this default to be the DVD device that I have mapped. Is there a simple way to do this or is my only option to map each button through keymoves to the DVD device?
thanks!! |

On several models the easy way to take control of that feature is to use the extender. I'm not sure of the status of the extender for 9910.
If you can't or won't use the extender, the other way is using "home theater". You could program HT mode to have DVD for transport and TV for everything else and then use HT mode instead of TV mode. If you want some other HT mode as well, you can use the "advanced select" special protocol to reconfigure HT mode dynamically from various macros. |
