Hi,
Epson seems to have change their IR protocol for the Pro series projector.
I'm using IRwidjet to decode the signal but no luck so far. I get a waveform from irscope but DecodeIR.dll (last version) do not recognize the protocol.
I have also tried IRscrutinizer and here is what I get for the menu button:
Code: |
0000 006C 002D 0000 0058 0017 0016 0016 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 002C 0016 0016 002C 0016 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0B6D 0058 0016 0016 0016 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 002C 0016 0016 002C 0016 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0B6D 0058 0016 0016 0017 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 002C 0016 0016 002C 0016 002C 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0017 0016 323D |
Can someone help me with this? |

I haven't seen this protocol before. It appears to be bi-phase with a double wide burst in the middle.
Here's how I translate the one code that you posted...
+2288 00111001 +572 +572 0000000 -76076
+2288 00111001 +572 +572 0000000 -76076
+2288 00111001 +572 +572 0000000 -130988
where
1 = +572 -572
0 = -572 +572 _________________ Rob

I've been controlling all kind of Epson projectors for 10 years, I was surprised to see that my remote did not work with this one.
What can I do to to put this upgrade in my JP1 remote? |

If you capture all the buttons from the remote, I'll build you an upgrade. Well, if your remote uses a S3F8 chip, I can build an executor for you. If you have one of the other chips, somebody else will have to port my work to that processor. _________________ Rob

Cool! What do you need from me so it's easier for you to make the upgrade?
I have both irscope and irscrutinize.
Would the raw capture from irscrutinize will work for you?
Like these 2 buttons:

What I really need is an IR or RMIR file. The 8820 is a learning remote, so capture the signals using that. If you really want to use IRScope to capture them, do that, but then cut & paste the learns into IR or RMIR.
Both RMIR and IR have rounding but IRScope does not. _________________ Rob

A-ha, the complete set is much more revealing. This isn't bi-phase at all, it's a quad, where:
00 = +572 -572
01 = +572 -1144
10 = +1144 -572
11 = +1144 -1144
Here's the binary

Someone else will have to write an executor for your HCS08 remote. _________________ Rob

What should I look For? I know that the LAN button is not in any of them...
I have checked all of them
Should I check something in the protocol window or remote master? |

If any of them works at all, then we have a protocol match that might save someone the effort of writing the code. So I'd try each and just a few commands like Power. The best candidates are probably the ones that have a Manual protocol. But most of those only have code for the MAXQ, so you can't test them. You only have old HSC08 remotes like the 8910, right?
I have no idea how to analyze the protocols myself. The file was more for Rob or one of the other experts since I didn't think you had a suitable remote to test with. |
