Actually, forget the Nevo C2, it looks like the software has been removed.

If I try http://ez-rc.com I get redirected to http://www.uei.com/ and although they talk about the Nevo I cannot see how to access the setup software. Anyone any idea ?

Alan: try http://www.ez-rc.com/Pages/LogOn/UserLogOn.aspx

That said, it now has the following ominous banner across the top "This application is going to be deprecated soon. Try something new till we make timing announcements."

I think we may want to start grabbing everything we can from it, and removing any/all dependence we have on it. Can we do a fimware update without it?

I think we might be too late. I found that site, and a standalone version called conduit.exe but both of them will ONLY run on IE7 or IE8, and neither of those will run under Windows 10. So I am screwed, as all my computers have been upgraded.

It does look as though the new 'MyNevo' app might be the way forward, although you can only run it in Chrome, but again I can find no way of updating the settings on my Nevo.

Maybe this would help? https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/
"Test Microsoft Edge and versions of IE8 through IE11 using free virtual machines you download and manage locally."

Conduit is not standalone but used in conjunction with the ez-rc site. It works fine in Win 10 as does the site. Just go to Knuckx's link in Edge, click the elipses at the top right and Open with Internet Explorer. This should work until the site goes away completely.

Graham said a while back that he could write a firmware update utility.

Not for me I'm afraid. It runs up in IE11 and won't recognise the Nevo.

Then you need to patch the registry:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/wiki/index.php?title=Getting_started_with_Xsight_and_Nevo#Win_8.1.2F10_Requirements

It's easiest to make the changes manually as Win 10 probably won't let you apply the reg files.

EDIT: Well, I can't connect either. Check for updates in the conduit also fails. I think the site is as good as dead.

Can someone in the UK contact OFA and see what the status of EZ-RC and Xsight is? I've contacted OFA in the US and they haven't supported Xsight for quite a while.

Sorry, but I can;t even log in now, it immediately comes back with the "Session Expired" message.

Don't see much point in carrying on with this as it is going to be way beyond the average Slingbox user. So I will wait until the new software is produced.

Agreed. I've ask the mods to move the EZ-RC posts to their own thread anyway.

Seems unlikely that UEI would actually make new software for Xsight/Nevo. But I hope they do.

You do realize Xsight/Nevo still works in Remote Master, right? We just can't pull new upgrades from the UEI database. We have to use the simpleset site for that.
