Acoustic Research ARRX18G

I just bought a used Acoustic Research ARRX18G. It came with the EZ RC program CD. The remote is completely blank. To start should I program the remote using the instructions that came with the remote or jump right into Remote Master. Thanks in advance.

Throw away the CD. Do use EZ-RC at least enough to update the firmware. It's also the easiest way to set up for a newbie. See the wiki for details.
