it's not totally clear how we're supposed to read that hex, but based on the fact that the last two bytes are fixed, I went with the assumption that you read it completely backwards, and so I came up with this...

One possibility is reading right to left - device, complement, command, complement. I don't know the subdevice, possibly just zero.

So Power = 0xe31cfe01 means Device 1, OBC 1C (28 decimal)

Can you have the user try that?

Yup, that's exactly what I did, and I got OBC 28 for POWER also. The sub-device is not used as it is the complement of the device code.

Hi Guys, I am the user and I am so many time zones ahead that I had finished work and was at a cinema - I arrived home at 0045 to find all this info - but was scared to try - lest I would never sleep and be divorced.

I wish to thank Alan for passing my question on and for your time and effort.

Woke up at 0600 - I followed your advice to the letter and was certain it would work.

First time - it didn't worK..

I kept the faith and fitted the IR BLASTER supplied with the 350 - not necessary with a UK SKY satellite receiver - but hey ..

SUCCESS

THANK YOU, THANK YOU...

Good to hear. I am curious to know where you found the hex codes for the buttons.

The site where the codes above were found only lists the one remote code set, which would tend to imply that all boxes use the same code.

Are you 100% confident that you know how to install a Slingbox bin and test it? Read the instructions in the link below and if it still doesn't work, post answers to the troubleshooting questions here.
